Summer Community Mingle

On August 29, 2026, The Feminist Conversations brought our community together for a warm and relaxed Summer Community Mingle at 3 Cents Resto & Café in Ottawa. The afternoon featured live acoustic music, free ice cream, and plenty of opportunities for community members, partners, and supporters to connect and enjoy the final weekend of summer together.

Ottawa singer-songwriter Audrey Saparno filled the space with her warm, powerful vocals and acoustic sound, sharing music inspired by women’s empowerment, family, hope, and life’s experiences. Over three joyful hours, the event created a welcoming space to slow down, meet new people, strengthen connections, and celebrate the TFC community.

We acknowledge that The Feminist Conversations is located on the unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe Nation, who have been the traditional caretakers of this land since time immemorial. We recognize and respect the enduring relationship between the Algonquin people and this territory. We honour their continued presence and contributions, and we commit to learning from their knowledge, laws, and perspectives. As we gather, we reflect on our shared responsibilities to truth, reconciliation, and decolonization. We understand that land acknowledgments are only one step in this journey. We are dedicated to pairing our words with actions by building relationships, uplifting Indigenous voices, and supporting community-led change.
